It is a period of great awesomeness in the Galactic Republic. Darth Maul is once again roaming the galaxy in search of revenge (and potentially the lower half of his body). Assaj Ventress has turned to bounty hunting and come to an unlikely alliance with Obi Wan Kenobi in the name of striking back at the people responsible for the death of her Nightsisters… and that’s all just where we left off. The 4th Season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars left Star Wars fans begging for more as some of our favorite characters returned and new characters wormed their way into our hearts, or whipped rather.
Heading into Season 5, expect to see more bounty hunters (maybe even the return of Saber 2’s Clare Grant as Latts Razzi), more Savage Oppress and Darth Maul, and the continued maturation and character development of Padawan Ahsoka Tano (voiced by Course of the Force co-host Ashley Eckstein). Last season saw some of the most anticipated episodes of the series yet, but they still seems to be laying the groundwork for the type of epic showdown Star Wars fans have been clamoring for since Lucasfilm first uttered the word prequel. Will that pitched battle we hope is on the horizon happen in Season 5? George Lucas did originally say that he wanted the show to reach 100 episodes, and that magical number happens in the show’s 5th outing.
If all of this Clone Wars excitement has you wanting to celebrate the saga we all love so dearly, don’t forget to check out Course of the Force, happening July 7th-11th along the Southern California coast. Hosted by Chris Hardwick, Alison Haislip and Ashley Eckstein, our lightsaber relay will run from Santa Monica to San Diego, just in time for the biggest nerd party of the year San Diego Comic-Con International. Celebrate your love of all things Star Wars with your people.
