There probably won’t be much Zack Snyder-style brooding–although maybe a small tantrum or two–when Cartoon Network‘s two biggest little super-teams get in on all the crossover “versus” action by doing a big crossover episode in June. But will Beast Boy find he has more in common with Mojo Jojo than the girls? And will Raven make a sarcastic quip about Bubbles’ voice not sounding as good as it used to?
From the initial image released, it appears the emotional reactions of the Teen Titans GO! gang and Powerpuff Girls will run the gamut when they see whatever’s on the other side of that hole in the wall–a wall that is not in Townsville, but rather on Titan turf. Per USA Today:
The crossover Titans episode features the Girls’ arch enemy Mojo Jojo up to no good in the Titans’ town, and the Powerpuff trio teams with their fellow squad to take the villainous monkey down.
According to [the] Teen Titans GO! producer, Titans members Cyborg and Beast Boy find Mojo Jojo to be pretty cool for a talking monkey, the Girls compete with Raven, Starfire and Robin to see which superhero team is better, and there’s a catchy song called Monkey Army that’s bound to get stuck in fans’ heads.
If it’s called “Monkey Army,” it’s already in my head. “Monkey Army, tra-la-la; Monkey Army, tra-la-la…” That’s probably not how it goes. Point being: it’ll most likely be EVEN BETTER. And since the Teen Titans aren’t the X-Men, we know the action won’t end with anybody going, “He’s going to kill the Professor!” “WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?”
How do you hope the beatdown goes down? Do the Teen Titans have strength in numbers, or is Chemical X their Kryptonite (so to speak)? Power up your comments, then GO! and make them below.
