Remember the good old days of May 2015, when the only thing you had to be scared of in the Australian Outback were these guys?
And when it came to kangaroos, depending on your age, you either thought of this:
Thanks to the new short film Waterborne not only do we have Australian zombies to deal with, but also Australian zombie KANGAROOS!
Waterborne tells the story of a park ranger, who discovers that there is a contaminant in a park’s water source and does his best to prevent people from drinking out of it. Despite these efforts, the ranger’s warnings don’t reach EVERYONE (or everyTHING), and as you’ll see, the consequences are not pleasant.
I really enjoyed the film. They packed everything you needed from a horror film in 9 minutes: characterization, tension, and my favorite part of any scary movie, the “AWW, Come ON! WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT?!?!?” scene.
Created by Octopod Films and Veritas entertainment, the crowd funded film has screened at over 50 festivals around the world and is actually a prequel to a feature, currently in development. If the short film is just a taste, I look forward to the full length version.
