Man, I’m so bummed that I found The Indoor Kids so late. I would have told you kids to play the Saints Row series on LAN–there was no reason for you to get a second Live account.

All the Saints Row (I never played #1) have LAN/online two-player and they’re fantastic. My favorite is #2 because of the sheer number of fun stuff to do, but #3 is probably just as good, only shinier.

  2. Riddler645 says:

Why did Emily say that the full version of Papers Please isn’t out yet? You can buy the full version right now on their website for $10. It’s incredible.

FYI Emily if you read this, the full game has 31 in game days, so don’t give up if you get an ending before that.

  3. Jake H. says:

No judgement, just love for what I’m pretty sure was drunk Kumail during the Burnside segment at NerdMelt. So adorable.

  4. Daniel says:

I would love to see a screen cap of Kumail and Emily’s characters from Saints Row IV!

  5. Nichole says:

    We need a Gynomite game!

  6. Chad says:

It’s funny you mention a Nintendo theme park, because I was just thinking about what one could be like the other day. Here’s what I came up with:

  7. Illusion-XIII says:

Love the Dubstep Gun, but I wonder how it’d hold up against the BASS CANNON!

  8. Lavidicus says:

Just dump the Burnside bits. I don’t think anyone will be bothered that he is more busy.

  9. Mark says:

Loved this episode, really interesting to hear about the history of Nintendo. I’m still not sold on Saint’s Row though – I like a bit of winking in a game (like Borderlands 2) but Saint’s Row seems to be winking so hard half it’s face has folded over – I just can’t take it seriously enough to care! Plus all the guns and superpowers seem to make it very easy. I prefer GTA cause it’s fun but also rooted in a bit of realism.

  10. martenas says:

Not trying to be “that guy” but i am pretty sure that the SNES version of street fighter 2 was the superior one. First off, the SNES had 6 buttons (which i think was referenced when mentioning the shoulder buttons) and the Genesis only had 3 (you pressed start to change the punch to kick).

Second, the SNES had better sound chip, and more colors.

Regardless, i rather like the discussion with this guy. He was very informative & interesting. You guys are like the NPR of gaming podcast 😉 Thoughtful, and educational, but still entertaining. To me, thats a good thing !

  11. tabby says:

i now really want to download Emily and Kumail Saw a Movie podcast!

  12. Spencer says:

Dubstep is shit. It’s not music in my opinion, this coming from someone is with 10 years of classical cello training. Moving on, The World’s End is one of the best movie I’ve seen in theater next to Pacific Rim. I didn’t like Shaun of the Dead that much it’s good, not a zombie fan. Once a zombie is on screen I instantly lose interest same with elves, orcs, and anything fantasy unless it’s a video game.

  13. LevelledUp says:

Enjoyed hearing you guys talk about The World’s End. I wish you did that type of thing more often. Or even a new 30 minute nerdist site podcast, Emily and Kumail Saw a Movie

  14. zee says:

    Dubstep creeps up on you.
It’s like the samara Morgan of the music world.

  15. Mr.B. says:

“Sonic Nintendostein” is the funniest thing that anyone ever said.

  16. sarcastro says:

You guys should check out YOU’RE NEXT. It’s like this year’s CABIN IN THE WOODS and, like THE WORLD’S END, it’s not doing all that great at the box office. But it’s fun as hell and does some great stuff with horror film tropes.

  17. clivodimars says:

the dubstep gun in saints row 4 is THE best gun ever invented.
