The Girl With The Eleventh Doctor Who

We’re sharing stuff this week with BBC America’s Anglophenia blog, so I don’t think they’ll mind if I steal… er, borrow this mashup featured in a post there today that edits scenes from this past week’s episode of Doctor Who with the soundtrack and style of the trailer for David Fincher’s remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo:

Just make a lot of quick edits and throw that “Immigrant Song” cover by Trent Reznor and Karen O. and you’re in business. But then there was this other recent parody of the same trailer, including an apology for not getting the rights to that song:

Wocka wocka wocka, indeed. Yes, it’s a Muppet day here. And do keep an eye on Anglophenia this week for more Nerdist Week stuff.

  1. This is a great piece of reading material. You could probably add to this and create an ebook with very little effort. I am impressed with your writing skills, attention to detail and fresh views.

Pardon my laziness (my friends would jab me in the ribs), but I didn’t quickly find another way to contact a Doctor Who fan at The Nerdist. Found a surprising and wonderful Doctor Who ringtone at

Makes me giddy thinking about it going off and potentially seeing another fan’s eyes light up. Like a secret handshake.

By the way, nice episode , but probably not something I will go back to again and again like “Let’s Kill Hitler.”

Thanks for the shout out, glad you enjoyed the video. Just FYI, there’s a bit more to it than just making a lot of quick edits. Not much more, just a bit more. :) —Kelvington

There’s also this one for the web series Paranormal, Burbank.

If you haven’t seen this show, you should check it out. It’s hilarious. It’s a spoof on the Syfy series Ghost Hunters. So, if you’re a fan of that, you’ll definitely enjoy this.

…The muppets one almost made me pee my pants from laughing. Thanks for sharing!
