What started at a couple of friends goofing around while waiting for their next interviews turned into the of the biggest viral hits of San Diego Comic-Con 2015. It all started when Agent Carter‘s Hayley Atwell and James D’Arcy started posting silly videos on Dubsmash. Not ones to be outdone, Marvel’s other TV agents, Clark Gregg and Chloe Bennett from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., fired back with their own series of videos. One thing led to another, things escalated, and the Dubsmash battles turned into a full-fledged war. This “war” raged for quite some time; Team S.H.I.E.L.D. gained the upper hand by utilizing the rest of the cast. But Team Carter made quite the comeback by recruiting Peggy’s long lost love in what could be called the winning shot. Take a look below at the highlights from this epic battle.
Based on the video at the top of the page, there is still some debate over who was the true winner. Now, the fans will get to decide the winner! Teaming up with Crowdwise, Team Carter and Team S.H.I.E.L.D. will compete in an official, three-round Dubsmash war. For every dollar you donate, you get one vote for the team of your choosing. All the proceeds will go to two great charities: Stomp Out Bullying and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The losing team will donate an additional $2,000 to the other teams’ charity and star in a Dubsmash video choreographed and costumed by the winning team.
But that’s not all! For every dollar you donate, you are also entered into a drawing to win a trip to Hollywood to have lunch with Hayley, James, Clark, and Chloe, and star in your very own Dubsmash video with them. (Hey, wait a second… is Team Nerdist eligible for such an award??)
The Dubsmash War begins September 2, 2015. Find more information about the contest and the charities here.
