Everyone loves a good music festival, whether or not it involves holograms. From Coachella to Bonnaroo to Lollapalooza, getting to see a bunch of your favorite acts in the course of one day is a chance few music fans can pass up on.
What if music isn’t your thing, though? What if comedy is?
Stop wondering. Get excited, because the first ever outdoor comedy festival is about to happen, and we have a certain power-acoustic rock duo to thank for it.
October 19th at the world famous Santa Monica Pier in sunny southern California, Jack Black and Kyle Gass, otherwise known as the greatest rock band in the world, Tenacious D, have created an event so momentous and can’t-be-missed that this writer moved a dream trip to Japan back a day so he could attend.
It’s called Festival Supreme… and supreme it is.
Here’s a look at the impossibly, insanely, I-can’t-believe-this-is-happening line-up for the event:
Tim and Eric, The Mr. Show Experience, The Mighty Boosh, Sarah Silverman, Zach Galifianakis, Adam Sandler, The Gregory Brothers, Tig Notaro, Hannibal Buress, Eric Idle,Fred Armisen,Will Forte, Princess, Demetri Martin, Dynasty Handbag, Reggie Watts, Beardyman, Craig Robinson and the Nasty Delicious, Garfunkel and Oates, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Neil Hamburger Band, The Abe Lincoln Story, Nancy and Beth, and, of course, Tenacious D themselves.
More acts are being added by the day, so head to Festival Supreme to check out the full-line up and to grab tickets, if you haven’t already for some strange reason.
