Can’t get enough of that sweet, sweet zombie talk with nerd overlord Chris Hardwick? Then settle in for this grand news, friends, because Chris will be hosting 15 new episodes of Talking Dead after every episode of Fear The Walking Dead‘s second season in 2016.
Like previous episodes of Talking Dead, Chris will invite all sorts of friends on the show to dish on that night’s episode, formulate preposterous fan theories, and perhaps—if we’re lucky—give shout-outs to the show’s now distant relative, Porch Dick.
After accruing the best ratings for any initial season of a show on cable, Fear The Walking Dead will definitely require the nerdy acumen of Chris and friends to hash out all the creepy, gruesome developments all season long. After all: did you see that insane finale for season one? (If not, here’s Dan Casey’s recap of it.) And given the fact that we’re slated to be—ready your best I’m on a Boat jokes now, folks. Oh and also spoiler alert—on a boat for part of next season, some post-show breakdowns will be necessary.
In a statement, AMC president Charlie Collier raised a proverbial glass to Talking Dead: “Here’s to season two and the weekly addition of ‘Talking Dead’ led by the incomparable Chris Hardwick. Of course, biggest thanks to the fans who have joined us on the ‘Fear’ journey.”
