In the story, we’ll see Maul’s first attempt at taking on an apprentice, something he’s tried very hard to turn Ezra Bridger into on Star Wars Rebels. The comic will focus Maul’s efforts on a Jedi Padawan named Eldra Kaitis, whom Maul discovers and attempts to turn to the dark side after he has been captured by a crime lord. In watching this all play out, we may even finally understand why he’s always wanted an apprentice so badly.
