There are few shows in the history of television as influential as Seinfeld. Over its one hundred and eighty episodes, one could argue that the show added more “water cooler” conversations to our lives than almost any other show on television. The distinct characters in a classic sitcom format acting just about as terribly as television would allow at the time burrowed their ways into our hearts with their quirks and idiosyncrasies.
While Jerry, George and Elaine certainly offered their memorable moments from pirate shirts, Vandelay Industries and the best dancing skills in all of New York City, the best parts of episodes always seemed to come from good ol’ Cosmo Kramer.
This super-cut of every single “Kramer entrance” in chronological order serves as an amazing cross section of the series. These entrances certainly lent to his strange personality. Almost every entrance was usually followed by a crazy, plot-driving scheme or at the very least the quotable lines we’d all attempt to recreate with our friends.
Even with all the episodes in syndication today, the Kramer entrances still remain some of the best parts of the show. While major plot points and jokes are remembered from only a few moments of watching an old rerun, Cosmo’s entrances continue to have the staying power of being surprising and fresh which certainly lends to why the show is still so watchable.
It’s strange how entire episode plots come back to you with the some of the quick flashes of Kramer’s barging into Jerry’s apartment.
