All Seven STAR WARS Films Get One Ultimate Franchise Trailer

Though most of love and devote a good portion of our lives to Star Wars, we all have at least one friend or family member who is that person. You know the one I’m referring to: the person that says, “Actually I’ve never seen a single Star Wars movie in my life.”

First, how is that even possible if you are over the age of 10? Second, what the hell are you waiting for at this point?

No matter how much we want to remedy this bizarre ignorance, it can be tough to explain 30 years and seven films worth of material (don’t even bother with the EU stuff initially) to entice them to finally get on board. Well, now we have a much easier, more efficient way to get them prepped for the entire series: an ultimate Star Wars franchise trailer, one that incorporates all of the movies.

From the folks at Movieclips Trailers, this video, with a focus on action and plot, shows the history of Skywalker family saga from the Original Trilogy, all of the prequels, up to The Force Awakens. Though we don’t actually know who Rey is just yet, she is clearly presented as the next great Skywalker-caliber Jedi in the story. So once again you can get emotional over that last shot from The Force Awakens.

The trailer also highlights just how many beats, characters, and scenes recur throughout the films. Oh, and also how great it is anytime a character turns on a lightsaber. Can someone please make that exact montage for us to geek out over?

So send this along to that person in your life, and then tell them to keep a weekend open so the two of you can marathon all of the movies together. Twice.
