It’s here! It’s finally here! The premiere of our brand new animated series, Skulls of the Shogun, 17-bit Studios’ cross-platform arcade/strategy game. Starring the vocal stylings of John DiMaggio (Futurama, Adventure Time) and series writer/director F. Ryan Naumann, Skulls of the Shogun centers around an undead Shogun hell-bent on victory… and revenge. We’ll let the omniscient announcer-y guy fill you in on the rest:
“On the battlefields of ancient Japan, the mighty General Akamoto stands ready to become Shogun on the eve of his greatest battle. Betrayed by a shadowy figure, he finds himself transported to the shores of the dead, where a ragtag misfit army is his only chance to break down the gates to the afterlife and gain the title of ‘Shogun of the Dead!'”
In episode one, we meet our embittered hero, General Akamoto, as he learns a bit more about the afterlife he finds himself stuck in, and tries to recruit some warriors to the cause. Why would anyone want to help such a grumpy lil skull? Well, we hear there’s cake.
Tune in every Tuesday at 10am PT for more of Skulls of the Shogun, and keep your
