Know what? We’re 100% on board with Natalie Dormer (a/k/a Margaery Tyrell)’s demands. In fact I dare say we’re ready to wave the banners in support of her quest to get more skin-based equality — read: more dongs — on HBO’s Game of Thrones. The night is dark and full of boobies so why not throw in a couple man-sticks to really light that fire, amirite?!
OK, crude and giggleworthiness aside, the actress’ thoughts are totally serious and make a heck of a lot of sense. In an interview with The Daily Beast (whose headline really is a thing of beauty/work of word art), the issues of equality on and off the screen were discussed at length — including the Game of Thrones‘ “boob mandate” and how refreshing it would be to see the boys have to bare all for a change. “During the first season Alfie [Allen, a/k/a Theon/Reek], Richard [Madden, a/k/a Robb Stark], and several of the men got naked — although not all the way. I suppose it’s just the rules of broadcast television, isn’t it?”
And while the actress “think[s] Thrones has been better than your average show with the equality,” even they “could definitely ramp it up! Absolutely.” So you know what that means? Bring on the full-frontal male nudity, Thrones! We want that dong, da-dong, dong, dong.
OK, sorry. We’re very immature. Total 5-year-old trapped in a 28-year-old’s body, this one. We’re sorry (only by that we mean we’re actually lying and not really all that sorry at all).
What do you think? Should there be more male nudity on the series to even it all out? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
