Our Pi Day Tradition

It is March 14th. 3/14. Pi Day. This is necessary. Has to be done.

It’s tradition. As are the inevitable “Pi is Wrong!” arguments.

  1. WonderfullyDisguised says:

It is good to see how many people took time out to enjoy half-tau day.
    ; )

  2. Patti says:

Thanks for all the fun facts, Chris, although you did tell me about Mike’s phobia of fake moustaches last year when I met you and Mike in Ferndale, MI on 6/10. My friend Moonbeam had a fake moustache on that went with her Oddville outfit. :) I remember you geeked out over it. That was cute. Anyway, I love the video, and I posted the link on twitter and I posted the video on my fb wall yesterday morning. (it’s after midnight here in MI. Pi Day is sadly over here. :(

  3. Cesar says:

I remember Zoom, I used to watch that show all the time when I was a wee lad, I love the reference and the song is hilarious

  4. Nathaniel H. says:

Hey thanks for answering xando’s question, Patrick! I actually had wondered that for a while myself, too.

Thanks for the fun facts, Chris!

Also of note: if you haven’t picked up the album yet, do! This song is also epic with the intro track included on the album.

  5. Marcus says:

    that was intense

  6. Patrick LeJeune says:

The rapper is Howard “Dragon Boy Suede” Kremer, he is the host of the podcast Who Charted

  7. xando calrissien says:

Huge fan, Chris – of the song, of H&P, of the multifarious Nerdist empire. Posted the karaoke version of the song on my facebook page today, and somebody asked a question I couldn’t answer – who is the rapper?

  8. Chris Hardwick says:

*The ball with the skull in it is my bowling ball

*On our album “Horses & Grasses” this track is exactly 3 min 14 sec.

*Mike has a phobia for fake mustaches and couldn’t look me in the face while shooting

  9. Jara says:

So can someone explain to me why is 14.3. PI day?

(Also is there a European trollface?)

  10. Jen says:

Also the birthday of Ben of Ben & Jerry’s fame.

    Also national chip day.

  11. It is also Albert Einstein’s birthday as well.
I’m sure he’d be eating pie if he were still alive!!

  12. Ben Z says:

That was the trippiest thing I’ve seen in a really long time.

  13. jswanson says:

That robot sings like a canary.

  14. RobJ says:

    Jesus fuck that was creepy.

  15. Bud says:

this is the best ‘pi is wrong’ argument:
