ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK’s Uzo Aduba Could Play Every Part on the Show

Here’s some afternoon funny if you’re feeling a need. We don’t know Orange is The New Black star Uzo Aduba (a.k.a. Suzanne a.k.a. Crazy Eyes) even if recapping the series makes us feel like we do. Needless to say her work on the Netflix series has made us minorly obsessed with her. Not only is she heartfelt and charming as the addled-but-caring Litchfield inmate (making her a killer actress to boot), she’s also clearly an adept comedian — as evidenced by her video collaboration with the ha-ha peddlers at Funny or Die.

There are plenty of meritable performances in this mix: we’ve got silent type Norma, a Borscht-loving Red, “fucking” Alex Vause, and even Pennsatucky in all her prophetic nonsense. Our favorite, hands-down, though is her take on the series’ star inmate, Piper Chapman. The mannerisms, the movement, the steadied, attempting to be intimidating lithe? Perfect hilarious perfection. Nothing short of, in fact. Although her take on Nicky Nichols’ sexual aggression — “I’ve got a gun in my pocket and it’s called a vagina!” complete with guns-blazing sound effects — was equally as guffaw worthy.

We do sorta wish we saw her take on Lorna, Yoga Jones, and Miss Claudette, though. Equally as hilarious (maybe for a “season two” version?) would be to see her do Vee and corrections officer Susan Fisher. And anyone else she might want to tackle. Aleida? Healy? Gloria? Black Cindy? Pornstache? Basically, we’d take anyone. We’d take ’em all!

Oh and if Aduba is looking for a charades partner at any point in time, someone should let her know we’d totally be down.

Which impression was your favorite? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments.

I love Uzo Adub. Her performance of Crazy Eyes is amazing. She deserves the Emmy or this role.
