If you’re a fan of Gilmore Girls, today’s TV-Cap has some pictures that will make your week brighter. Netflix has released key art and more production stills from Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. See them below along with a tease from the cast for the return of Twin Peaks, a Westworld preview, a look at the Justice Society of America (JSA) in Legends of Tomorrow, and more.
Return to Stars Hollow. Gilmore Girls returns to our lives on November 25, and hopefully these new photos are just the beginning of the promotion avalanche. I’m looking forward to teasers and trailers, but I’ll take these images. The key art shows Lorelai and Rory celebrating each “season.” Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is split into four parts focusing on the four seasons. And the stills? They give us our first official look at Jess, new shots of Luke, Lorelai, and Rory and what looks to be a glimpse of Friday Night Dinner. See the rest of the photos right here at Nerdist (they’re in the gallery). [TVLine, Images: Netflix]
Back to Ponyville! An update for fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and My Little Pony: Equestria Girls: both series have been renewed for 2017. Friendship is set for a seventh season, and Equestria Girls will get 3 new specials.
What Does It Mean? HBO’s Westworld is a series perfect for viewers that like to speculate and theorize. If you fall into that category, the preview for the next episode (above) is going to make your brain buzz. Scott has some thoughts to share with you right here at Nerdist.
Play a Game. Candy Crush is coming to CBS. Yep. They’re taking the mobile game and turning it into a one-hour live action game show. No word on a premiere date yet, so just keep playing rounds of Candy Crush on your phone until more details are announced. [Slashfilm]
Coming Back. Showtime is bringing Twin Peaks back in 2017, and though details on the plot are scarce, they’re giving us some tidbits. The newest information comes via the cast. In the above video, cast members new and old discuss the revival in vague but glowing terms. [Nerdist]
Shop, Sassenach. Need Christmas ideas for the Outlander fan in your life? Then visit the revamped Outlander Store. They have official merchandise including t-shirts and wall art, and you can also pick up soundtracks and Blu-rays for the existing seasons. They have a new book too, The Making of Outlander The Series: The Official Guide to Seasons One & Two. But my personal favorite? On November 7, you’ll be able to buy The Outlander Wine Collection from Lot18. See additional images of merch in the gallery below. [Images: Starz]
More Fear. AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead is set to debut a second round of its companion web series. Subtitled “Passage,” the 16-episode story follows a duo trying to survive. New episodes will debut weekly on AMC’s website and app, and they’ll also air during The Walking Dead. [Variety]
JSA Intro! Thursday’s Legends of Tomorrow brings the JSA fully into the picture. I don’t know about you guys, but seeing the team arrive at the end of the season two premiere gave me goose bumps. But now? We’ll get to know them. Learn all about it in the above featurette. And while we’re talking Legends, you should know series executive producer Marc Guggenheim said Wentworth Miller will return as Captain Cold in the midseason finale. You can read more of his comments at CBR.
