We may have to wait until 2015 to get our sestrahood fix, but BBC America isn’t going to leave us all hanging until then — that’s why the home of everyone’s favorite clonespiracy has released a swinging new teaser for the upcoming third season of Orphan Black. Commence your freaking the eff out, Clone Clubbers!
Featuring the music of Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me,” (how appropriate, eh?), the clip may not feature the many faces of Tatiana Maslany, but it sure is enough to excite and thrill fans of the series for its upcoming journey down the rabbit hole. Besides, is there any more appropriate lyrics for Alison, Cosima, Sarah, and Helena than “You don’t own me, I’m not just one of your many toys”? (We don’t think so, not really. I mean, HELLO!)
As fans remember from the end of season two — and there are spoilers here if you’re not caught up (you monster, no judgement though… OK maybe a little) — the end of season two revealed that there was a stronger force than the DYAD Institute at play, and a whole host of male clones — Project Castor — out there in the world, of which creeptastic Prolethean Mark was apart. The reveal and twist was enough to cause epic meltdowns of the mind-bogglingliest order (shut up it’s a real word as far as we’re concern).
Now all we have to do is wait, clone club. And maybe watch this a few more times, and maybe sing the song for the rest of the hiatus until our beloved orphans return. Or, you know, watch some of the fan-favorite episodes from past seasons when the air on BBC America this November 28th, from 12A-6A ET.
How excited are you for season three of Orphan Black? Let us hear it in the comments.
