On Monday, viewers everywhere finally got a taste of one of the most talked about new series of the fall, Gotham. But while the pilot served as a fascinating look into the famed city’s origins, it was a mere taste of the things to come. To prove it, Fox released two brand new clips from the second episode of the season, one of which finally features the young Selina Kyle in action:
In addition to that, the network also put out some fresh images from the episode:
In his review of the pilot, Joseph McCabe wrote, “Gotham‘s ambition alone makes its pilot worthwhile viewing,” and he’s 100% on the money with that. While it was doing a lot of set-up, the world Gotham’s trying to sell is getting us very excited for the future of the series. Imagine what will happen when we get to episode six or seven once all the characters are introduced and the writers are just able to play. Hell, imagine what episode two will look like now that, it appears, Selina’s going to have an active role in the series.
There’s a lot of potential in Fox’s Jim Gordon origin story, and we feel these clips are some solid beginnings to what will ultimately be a successful first season.
Gotham airs Mondays at 8/7c on Fox.
