It’s time for the good and happy king of Westeros, the highly beloved and truly earned leader, Joffrey Baratheon, to be wed. And that wedding to Margaery Tyrell will be the central focus, it seems, of Sunday night’s new episode of Game of Thrones. Sure, we’ll also finally get to see Bran get back to his warg-y ways — he was noticeably absent in the premiere — still on the hunt for the three-eyed raven calling out to him in his dreams. But really, it’s all about that wedded bliss.
Unless you’re on team Stannis, in which case you probably don’t care so much about giant pies and party favors. No, no, for those with an alliance to the Dragonstone-based king, “There’s only one hell, the one we live in now.” Man, that Melisandre is ever the optimist, isn’t she? Snowy bonfire and the veritable cheer captain Stannis Baratheon aside, Sunday night’s episode looks to be one of celebration. And since this is Game of Thrones, we all know what that means.
If you were a guest at the Joffrey-Margaery nuptials, what would you bring as a gift? (I’d probably bring poison or a mallet but that’s because I want to win the fantasy fantasy league.) Let us know in the comments!
