Have you ever heard of a game called Gang Beast? This Double Fine-published title is a hilarious, local multiplayer game whose objective is to knock your opponent out and toss them outside of the play area, Royal Rumble-style. The twist: The game’s character are almost impossible to control, and the stage designs are constructed for abject failure. It’s an intense fight for survival a la Hunger Games, where the environment is just as threatening as the players who are opposing you.
We’re on location in Austin, Texas for this week’s Nerdist:Play, and we’re happy to be joined by Rooster Teeth‘s highly entertaining gaming troupe Achievement Hunter. You might have seen me play Grand Theft Auto V with these guys on Monday, and get smoked in some Snipers and Stunters. Now is my time for revenge in an every-man-for-himself battle royale—winner take home nothing but bragging rights for 24 hours until the Internet forgets this happened.
