What is it that makes survival and nightfall tend to butt heads? In the case of Dying Light, it has everything to do with the zombie mutations, known as Volatiles, that relentlessly pursue any living being that dare cross its path after dark. Staying alive is no laughing matter once the sun goes down in this game, so you best be equipped with the right weaponry if you expect to outlast the evenings in the dark alleys of Harran.
In celebration of the release of Dying Light: The Following, we’re tempting fate and playing our own version of King of the Hill with the game’s Volatiles on this week’s Nerdist:Play. Can I survive waves of the game’s most feared enemy coming after me in one isolated location? You better believe it, and I intend on setting a record while I’m at it.
Do you think you have what it takes to beat my record of 33 Volatiles killed? What is your favorite thing to do while playing Dying Light? Drop kick your thoughts down in the comment section. Good night and good luck!
