Nerdist/Doug Loves Movies Mashup!

Last week there was a Nerdist/Doug Loves Movies podcast mashup (mashcast?) at the UCB Theatre in LA. The show is only about a half hour, but holy crap was it fun. This doesn’t count at this week’s Nerdist show but think of it as a nice companion piece! Doug Loves Movies, and we love Doug!

    I love Doug as well!

I know I will not be believed but as soon as Peter Weller is mentioned as the extra final guess I knew the answer “Of Unknown Origin”!! That movie stayed in my mind even all these years later. Weller’s obsession with getting rid of his rat menace is awesome especially toward the end. I heartily recommend catching this movie…

Deltus, you might want to try Audacity. It’s free, and pretty good. Don’t know how it handles multiple mics, though. Someone else want to confirm/deny the viability of Audacity with regards to multiple mics?

  4. my_leisure says:

Fun times. I’d love to get those gifts too.

  5. Deltus says:

What software do you guys use to record and edit your podcast? Looking for Windows software that’ll handle multiple USB mics (for free), and not sure which is best to use.

Superb! This was actually the first time I got around to listening to DLM. I discovered your podcast through JJGo, It’s like feature credits on rap albums over here.

  8. Kate says:

Hey could Jimmy Fallon be on a podcast in the near future if “That’s a Record” gets picked up?

  9. DL says:

I’ve been a fan of both podcasts for a while now, and also Marc Maron’s. I would love to hear a combination of every single person in this L.A. comedian group to do a combo-cast.

  10. Just listened to this last night, and it cracked me up. Matt has some interesting Len Maltin strategies. Awesome show!

  11. andrew says:

@chris I would love to but I live in orlando, fl. So unless you guys want to do a live show here (or adjacent area) its just sound for now. thanks for your time.

  12. Chris Hardwick says:

Too much of a hassle, editing-wise. We want to keep the show simple. Also, it’s a lot to ask of our guests to be in “video” mode. People can show up however they like and we bang it out in an hour right now.

Plus, less people watch video casts than listen to audio ones. Video just demands a different level of attention. You could always trek out to one of our live shows sometime!

  13. andrew says:

have you guys ever though of transitioning into video?
    great cast, btw.
