Nerdist Street Team L.A. Needs YOU!

Los Angeles, you are a busy city. You always have something or other going on. This is what makes it so challenging to promote in you (that sounded vaguely gross).

Still, I want to make sure that the next Nerdist Podcast LIVE @ Largo is JAMMED to the gills for some good Fred Willard entertainment. I’m looking for 10 motivated nerds who will promote our July 28th show in various creative ways, both online and in meatspace. You will each get two tix to the show AND a pre-beta invite to the upcoming Nerdist Network Experiment “The Node,” where you will share information with each about your various promotional activities. YOU MAY EVEN MAKE A NEW FRIEND OR NINE. Also, we’ll have a little post-show meet-up so I can thank/laud you in person. When we did this in Seattle, it was a phenomenal experience. I met so many cool folks who rule in many ways.

All interested humans should send an email to [email protected] with the subject “PICK ME L.A.!”

  1. Hardwick's #2 Fan says:

    Street Team Name Suggestions:

    1. Pack of N-words.
    2. Murder of Nerds

  2. Stephen says:

Well, yeah Mitch, but the first comma was supposed to be a semicolon. Which is more of a Grammar Brigade statement. If I post up flyers at Siggraph, am I up to node good?

  3. Mitch says:

I would most decidedly do this, however, being in the great white north, sigh cannot. Ftr I apparently love commas.

  4. NERDIST BRIGADE. I love it. Or Nerd Brigade. I love that too. Love love love!

  5. gOdmOni says:

    If I’m the 10th comment, am I a winner?! 🙂

  6. Nerd Brigade is good. If the street teaming is going to be part of “The Node,” I’d go for The Node Warriors. Either way, people involved with “The Node” should be Node Warriors and hunt for gasoline while fighting post-apocalyptic desert-wasteland mohawked biker football barbarians.

  7. Brian says:

Would 57|2337 Team be better? Glad I don’t know what that means.

  8. erock says:

Chris, I’ve been listening to the podcast and you’ve mentioned a few times that you were fat for a while. You’ll be pleased to know that after a cursory Google search of “fat chris hardwick” it’s pretty hard to find any pictures of a fat Chris Hardwick.

  9. Geoff says:

I can’t believe you that with Fred Willard and the Nerdist podcast it would be hard to get people out. If I lived around LA (I live in Kingston, Ont), I’d be there for sure.

  10. Travocity says:

    I vote for Nerd Brigade.

  11. Andy says:

@nick Geek Gaggle? Nerd Brigade? Pocket Protector Party?

  12. Dawson says:

Oh, to be in LA right now…

  13. nick says:

we should come up with a more Nerdist friendly term that “street team”.

They aren’t promoting the latest hip-hop album and lets face it we nerds aren’t really big in the streets.

  14. Hunter Boone says:

    Just emailed ya Chris 🙂
