Comments

  1. I was expecting this podcast to be extremely hysterical, and it took a turn that I absolutely appreciate. Death is definitely a fear of mine. It’s nice to hear it spoken about.

  2. Rich Owens says:

I’ve been Poo Dollared before! It was a $5 bill and we washed it off and used it at a party.

  3. Sreesuhaas says:

@Chris @1:02:30. That is exactly how I feel about The wire, The west wing, The game of thrones, Sherlock!! There’s so much good tv! Game of thrones has been lying on my hard drive forever, now. So good to see someone else feels the same way as I do. Also, loved pooh dollar and the sweater analogy.

  4. DarkStar says:

How is Thomas Jefferson and John Adams pulling the Poo dollar joke on Ben Franklin not and SNL skit?

  5. Chris says:

I don’t know if anyone had mentioned it yet. But Poop dollar is in episode one of Workaholics. So I’m sure it already a craze.

  6. Rusty says:

Kyle’s laughter encourages Chris which makes Chris more comfortable and often results in better jokes and energy from him. Kyle is a muppet with guts, please don’t hate on muppets.

  7. Rusty Balls says:

I think Kyle’s laughter often encourages Chris which makes him more comfortable and results in even better jokes and energy. Kyle is a muppet with guts, please don’t hate on muppets.

  8. Fartbooty says:

    butts make poo

  9. Mr_Smartypants says:

You Made It Weird, with Chris Hardwick!

    But seriously, awesome episode!

Though I was waiting for a “poo farthing” joke.

  10. Jennifer says:

I loved this interview but the death talk really really got me down. It was all I could do not to shut off the podcast. My grandmother was given a week a few days before this so the timing was really bad. :( Ah well not much you can do on the timing thing. Still loved hearing him. I haven’t seen him in much but Nebraska sounds interesting. May check it out.

  11. beerorkid says:

We would love ya in lincoln. College town with a healthy bar scene and new development downtown. I think you would be a hit here.

  12. Alec says:

According to the Internet, the thing Jefferson used was called a polygraph.

  13. luckymustard says:

@jaimen I can hear Jonah’s laugh, not Kyle’s, in the background during the interview. For some interviews they quite often hang back some or a lot.

  14. Mark says:

@D43MOn I’m the fun “hallway monitor,” thank you very much. When the next comment after mine is in agreement, I’m sure my observation isn’t something that I’ve pulled out of nowhere. Let’s bro out later

  15. Oh Will Forte, he is just the best. Poo Dollar is going to be my new favorite thing

  16. Jess says:

This was a really, really great conversation. Will Forte seems like a delight, and he gave a fantastic performance in Nebraska. Chris, I remember your thoughts on death & dying from previous episodes (didn’t know life before birth, etc.). I understand that on a rational level, but emotionally death still freaks me the hell out. I haven’t yet found that calm that you possess. #poodollar

  17. D43m0n says:

@Mark: Who made you the fun police? Get bent, Mark!

  18. Wildride says:

C’mon, Chris, I don’t want to rush you, but 50th anniversary year Doctor Who Christmas special — You’re not gonna get a better opportunity to ask her.

    ;)

  19. Ash says:

Come to Omaha! Sklars did it!

  20. Jesse says:

Just got to the death part — was expecting Pete Holmes to come rushing into the room. :P When are you gonna do You Made It Weird, Chris??

  21. Newtman says:

Can someone please pull an audio drop from 12:13?

  22. Jesse says:

I love hearing people laugh! Catching Kyle’s laugh in the background is a great part of the podcast. I don’t think it’s necessary to try to prevent someone from having fun.

  23. Jaimen says:

I love that Jonah is in the intro talking about all of the free time he has, and then you guys mention that you’re actually recording the intro while waiting for Will to show up. Then, the actual podcast starts, and there’s no Jonah!

Did he finally actually get fired?! Or did you just make him feel unwelcome because of the bro-ometer joke?

  24. Chris says:

I would have to agree on the Kyle-overly-loud-laugh tip! Although I don’t recall ever hearing it for years, it seems like it’s become rather ubiquitous these last few months. He’s probably a nice guy, but the laughing is really distracting and annoying. :(

  25. Mark says:

Though Jonah’s jabbing at Kyle is light-hearted, I can’t help but pile on. I really can’t stand the sound of his over-laugh at everything Chris says. It really wasn’t noticeable or anything for the longest time, but it’s become a distraction to how wonderful these interviews/hostfuls are. Get bent, Kyle!

  26. Paul says:

    Poo dollar
