Nerdist Podcast: Wayne Knight

Wayne Knight sits down with Chris and Matt to talk about what actually happened to his character in Jurassic Park, working at a carnival as a kid, working as a P.I. in New York, and how he found his niche in acting! They also talk about how Seinfeld got away with everything in the show, and they discuss his show The Exes on TV Land!

  1. David says:

It’s a sad day when someone says “pantomime” in an American interview and no-one says “panto-WHAT now?”. We’re becoming too the same man. Oh no and there again.

  2. Chris D. says:

Well apparently my last post crapped out, but anyway…  Thanks for having Wayne Knight on.  He seems like such a cool dude and I’m glad to get more of this guy.
As for the  PI show, this would be such a cool project for Nerdist/Comedy Central/Wayne Knight.  I would absolutely watch it.  It honestly sounds like a premise Vince Gilligan would have come up with.  You folks should totally pounce on that.

  3. Justin says:

Wayne was one of the best things about 3rd Rock from the sun. Always dream for some sort of reunion.

  4. Madmaaak says:

I made this in honor of Matt’s lost Dodgson joke…

  5. BehindBlueEyes says:

Excellent podcast, very entertaining. However, I’m a little disappointed in you guys (Chris & Matt) for not knowing the reference point of the Barbersol can. Spielberg is paying direct tribute to Psycho, when Norman Bates unknowingly tosses the money into the trunk of Janet Leigh’s car and shoves it into the bog, slowly covering it in mud. It’s Hitchcock saying, “Ha ha! You thought the movie was about that, but it’s really about this other thing over here.”

  6. Jeffrey says:

The Wayne Knight Rider, PI web series. I would watch and buy merchandise.

  7. Jennifer says:

I was pleasantly surprised by this one.  He was great.  Someone seriously needs to make that PI show.  I would watch the crap out of it.  I love that type of show.  Whoever the idiot was that said those shows don’t work is nuts.  Instead of having the Kit do errands with him, they should do pi work together.  That would be amazing.  🙂

  8. Nerdist is the best podcast in the world. Keep up good work get Kevin Hart on the podcast. please and Chris if you. need a fourth. host call me peace

  9. Bryan Culver says:

I was really hoping when he said “Hydra” you’d say “hail Hyrda!” I was not disappointed! #bebooppodcast

  10. Ant says:

It was funny that they joked that Nedry could come back to Jurassic Park as an amputee because I remember the Nedry action figure had removable arms

  11. Nikki says:

they’ve gone back in time to interview wayne knight, DUH.
Also, it’s crazy that this podcast is posted today because I was watching seinfeld last night and wondering, weirdly enough, who from the podcast would be who on the show. I was hung up on if matt would be george or newman?
I wonder if he named that club “the mystic knights” after him lol
I’ve never been into 3D–I don’t think it adds anything to a movie, other than hurting my eyes.

  12. Narrator says:

    Sorry, couldn’t resist.

  13. dilophosaurus says:

Oh God  YES! I’ve been waiting for this podcast to happen FOREVER.  Such an interesting dude.

  14. Wuuppa says:

Hello. I used to listen to your podcast through soundcloud/audiocloud. The latest ones haven’t reached that media yet. Is this intentional or accidental? I mean, it’s cool, I can get it from this very (nice) site, if i want to. But I am confused and in pain.

  15. Aaron says:

Yo, I thought this dude was dead.

  16. JonnyA says:

Chris, not trying to be a douche, but noticed the episode number says 220 instead of 620. Just an FYI.

  17. Granpa says:

  18. When Wayne lost all that weight, I bet he felt like a new man.

    Get it?
