Nerdist Podcast: The Farrelly Announcement

Recorded just last week on 6/12, it’s a somewhat hostful with special drop-ins! Peter Farrelly stops by to make a big announcement and Guillermo Del Toro says hi. And the premiere of The Matt and Jonah show!

Comments

  1. Heather says:

Just re-listening to this and had to come comment that Chloe is the f-ing best. <3

  2. I am very late to the game but I also have to say: That Matt and Jona insanity was totally unexpected, life-threatening funny (I was driving while listening). I already gave up on listening to hostful shows during my runs because laughing hard and running don’t go well together. Might have to ban them from my car too.
    Fantastic show.

  3. Kellyn says:

Please, please, please make the Matt and Jonah Show a regular event. It was well worth looking insane in public by laughing hysterically at something no one else was listening to.

  4. Neb says:

Thanks Jonah for The Kings of Summer (http://clevelandfilm.org/films/2013/the-kings-of-summer) shout-out! It was the opening film of the 37th Cleveland International Film Festival and it was filmed locally. Hollah!

  5. jordan says:

I was laughing so hard during the Matt and Jonah show!

    Enjoy your poon-rito!

  6. Megan says:

Great episode. Really enjoyed the Matt & Jonah Show!! And for whatever reason, it struck me as totally ADORABLE when Chris called Chloe sweetie. So sweet!

  7. Flux Capacitor says:

i always thought pussy talking jonah should get his own show! and mathias is a worthy co-host.

  8. ChadVanHalen says:

    Matt.
    Jonah.

Whatever the fuck it was that I just listened to, I wanna say thank you.

    Chris.

You went all the way up to P.C. in between your Salt Lake shows? That’s quite a bit of driving but great show anyway!

  9. Beowulf says:

Holy shit, that cut right after Matt talks about Chris cutting that part out was the best damn sleeper-cell punchline I’ve ever heard.

  10. MarkHam006 says:

@Chris, thanks! That’s pretty damn funny!

  11. K-ham says:

The Matt and Jona Show needs it’s own segment. Seriously O.O

  12. Nick says:

This is amazing! Just a big random bag of awesome.

  13. Are y’all taking votes on which one of you becomes a woman so you can go on The JV Club podcast? I choose Matt; he’s dreamy. :-)

  14. Sebastian says:

Sigh… Ufos… Because depth perception at night with headlights on never leads to misconceptions. Every story like that basically sounds like “so remember I can’t tell things apart just by their position lights at night even if my life depended on it? Well let me tell you about that one time when shit didn’t line up with my expectations and occasionally razor made me go aliens”

  15. Craig says:

Nice little shout-out to my hometown, Johnstown PA. Jonah probably doesn’t remember me, but we hung out one afternoon in J-town at her parents house because our ex-girlfriends are friends. I remember him making a joke about meeting Dan Aykroyd and asking for an autograph, but requesting that he date it from sometime in the 80’s (when DA was still cool). So Dan said no. And I jokingly told him my view of LA/Hollywood is very skewed because all I know about it, I learned from watching Entourage. Fun fact: we had pizza that day, and Jonah and his ex were shocked that we didn’t fold our slices in half when we ate them. But since that day, I now almost always fold my slices.

This was all pre-Nerdist and I stumbled on the show early on when it was recommended to me by a friend. First time I listened, I thought, “Holy shit, Jonah Ray is on here!” Been a fan and follower ever since. So congrats to Jonah for all of his success since he met me. He can thank me later, preferably in the form of Itchy and Scratchy Money. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

  16. JE Smith says:

@Chris Hardwick Aw, that’s too bad, I live in Dallas but missed the show. Hopefully it’ll work out better next time you guys come! :)

  17. @MarkHam006: he told me when we went to move cars. Basically, the Lexus mechanic told him his car was worth a lot because of its specific year and that he kept it in mint condition. He built it up so much that it sounded like the car was worth a small fortune. When he finally said, “Great! So how much could I sell it for??” “‘Bout 2500.”

  18. -Di. says:

My favorite part was when CH mentioned how they were all now ghost because they died when the show went off the rails. I’m definitely stealing that one to use at an appropriate moment. :-)

  19. MarkHam006 says:

Am I the only one who wanted to hear the end of Peter’s Lexus story?
    I’ll never know!!!!!!

  20. Fester75 says:

I wish Chloe had her own podcast, or was on more often.
