  1. Jed Petry says:

Fab Four are pretty good…but I think Rain are wayyyy better..

  2. Kandee says:

So Rainn, you might not have felt like you talked about anything, but these are my favorite podcast episodes just a bunch of friends talking about random unimportant stuff.

  3. Krissy Lenz says:

My son’s favorite movies are the Empire Strikes Back and Ghostbusters… hes 4.

  4. Chipotlesurvivor says:

…so unfortunately your Chipotle bit worked and I had it for lunch.  What a terrible idea.

  5. Daevid says:

Came here after the douche interruption drove me from the Bill Gates interview. Much better.

  6. Mike says:

Just an FYI, guys. ALL the major pizza chains (Pizza Hut, Papa J, Dominos, Little Seizures, etc) use the conveyor ovens. No big secret there.

  7. Abraham says:

This episode was amazing. As Pete will say “we were due for a funny one” its great when a guest can come on& make the episode feel like a hostful. And I must agree with the 2.5th Doctor, Dominoes is currently the best. #watchingpaintdryclub

  8. Charles says:

Great, but where’s the podcast with Bill Gates you talked about?

  9. Dcoil03 says:

I’m a former Pizza Slut employee. What Rainn said about the dough is correct but with one minor difference: The dough gets shipped to the restaurant frozen but gets “prepped” for the next day by being placed on the pizza pans and thawed over night in the walk in fridge.
The only doughs made the day-of is the thin crust and the pan pizza. That’s a powdered dough mixed with water and tossed into a mixer and dished out to appropriately sized pizza pans.

All the pizzas are left in the walk-in fridge until it’s time to be sauced (a concentrate), cheesed and topped to be cooked in the conveyor oven.
    It’s all shit.

  10. Ashley says:

808 State? Latin Club? Chris, we would have been friends in school or at least mildly tolerant of each other because we would’ve been in the same club with similar tastes in music.

  11. The 2.5th Doctor says:

    Dominoes is the Best.
Not even Joking. Best Ingredients. Best Care for Product Quality. 6 Years Ago They Were Trash. Now They Are Top Tier.

  12. Scott Jones says:

I love ya, Rainn, but I saw Return of the Jedi in the theater when I was 3 and a half, and I was hooked for life.

  13. ericmci says:

How is this episode not called “We’re Zoned for Donkeys”  ??

  14. ericmci says:

I always thought 808 state was a reference to the 808 synthesizer

  15. Dick says:

I too hated the song Closing Time until I heard the singer explain the meaning:

Spoiler: It ain’t about closing a bar

  16. Ian D. says:

I am dying from “Papa John’s Charcuterie In (En?) Fromaggia.” Holy shit, Jonah. That brightened my day considerably.

  17. jeffery says:

I’m the parent of a MIllennial. I listen to most of these.  Good Lord does that song suck… wow.

  18. Nikki says:

I just loled at the Chumbawumba bit omg…film that!—-also, why the hate for ROTJ?! That used to be my #1 in the saga until ROTS (yes hate me and call me tasteless all you want, but ROTS still makes me cry)

  19. ThisGuyRightHere says:

Was Matt saying “boo” or “Boo-urns”?

Jonah is talking about the Machete order of watching Star Wars. You’re supposed to watch 4, 5, 2, 3, 6, and skip 1 all together. This frames the prequels a sort of flashback and allows you to parallel Luke’s near fall to the Dark side with Anakin’s actual fall. There’s really nothing that happens in 1 that effects this story arc… Google “Machete order” for more information

  20. Ham says:

Rainn hit the nail on the head when he said that you guys didn’t talk about anything. It was just an hour of guys trying to be funny. What a contrast to the episode I listened to after with Ethan Hawke where you had a very engaging conversation.

  21. Gwendolyn says:

Yes Rainn, parents do listen to this podcast. We are old school underground ravers – who still want a little spice in life. Send us Chipoltle cards 😉

  22. Gwendolyn says:

Yes, parents listen to The Nerdist – and we are awesome early 90s underground rave going Gen Xers. And we deserve Chipoltle cards too. 😉

  23. Jaco says:

Uhmm…. MIllennial reporting in… I was sad and happy to be blasted by the Nerdist crew!

  24. Sandro says:

I’m pretty sure I was only 3 or 4 years old when my dad showed me Star Wars for the first time. Obviously I didn’t understand it all, but it was still incredible. Pretty sure it was all I watched besides the classic Disney animated stuff until I was 6 or 7.

  25. clivodimars says:

First time I heard this podcast was Rainn’s episode. Still my favorite. Cant wait to hear this!

  26. Amanda says:

OMG, my 8-year-old watches Minecraft and Five Night of Freddy’s videos.
