This was such a great episode!  My favorite thing about this podcast is that you get behind the facade of the public persona and receive a glimpse of the real person underneath.  Mr. Reubens seems like a cool, normal, well-adjusted person.  This is definitely in my top 20 favorite Nerdist conversations.

  2. Jason Taub says:

Paul Reubens is such a cool guy

  3. Great podcast! Mr. Reubens has been a hero of mine since I was young and it’s always great to hear that one of your heroes seems as cool in person as you’d like them to be.

  4. John says:

hearing him say enjoy your burrito just seriously put the biggest smile on my face.

Phew! So great to know that the actor I LOVED as a child is as great as I hoped he would be. And still very thankful and aware of how lucky he is.

  8. Robert says:

Been listening to the podcast for a long time & this was absolutely the best.  I could’ve listened to Paul for 2 more hours.  As someone who is your age Chris, I grew up with Pee Wee.  I’m not a diehard fanboy but I’ve always had admiration for the brilliance behind what he did.  Sometimes the pod meanders away from what you really want to know (as fans) during these interviews.  But this one stayed in the zone throughout.  And finally, the more I hear about Phil Hartman, the more blown away I am about the mark he left on the industry & what an amazing person he was.  Thanks for all the great work, Chris!

  9. Leslie says:

This interview was the best thing to happen to me all day. I was so sad when it was over. Paul Rubens was absolutely amazing and engaging. What a career. Well done, Chris!

  10. Well-spoken and thought provoking interview… Then he did “enjoy your burrito” as Pee Wee, and I am instantly a kid again!

  11. Tracy says:

Awesome episode!  I think you’ve interviewed everyone I would get excited about….and then you keep getting someone else awesome!

  12. crankbunny says:

There should be a photo of jeff goulburn, shelley duvall and kate micucci together on the instagramps somewhere! This is what my brain is coughing up (so might also be from a dream possibly. 70/30 chance*)

  13. Jen says:
