  1. Nikki says:

I felt sympathy for Betty…yet she still does things that we don’t understand–but Don does too! Everyone does. No one would watch a show without complex characters.

very inspiring listening to matthew weiner!

  2. Lisa says:

Amazing! I could have listened for four hours!

  3. Mandy says:

This podcast was amazing.  This was a wonderful in depth conversation about Mad Men. As a huge fan is was a nice way to get excited for the show’s finale and to learn more about Don Draper.

  4. Jay Smith says:

I’m trying to locate the “hilarious book about the SS” that Mr. Weiner refers to in this episode. I’m thinking it might be, “Soldaten: On Fighting, Killing and Dying.” If anyone else has a better idea, please reply!

  5. Scott says:

I have been an immense fan of Nerdist from the beginning.  I visit every day.
That said, I really find this new page design to be really dreadful and counter-intuitive.  It’s sort of all over the place, isn’t it?
I mean, if I want to go to Thrilling Adventure Hour I have to slog through unrelated stuff until I happen across it.  Likewise, finding this Matthew Weiner interview under “podcasts”, I have to hurry and click before the image changes whereupon I have to click the back arrow to get there.
I just might be slow though, there’s always that possibility.

If you look at the banner, it has a link to go to either Podcasts or Videos, or you can click on the three horizontal bars to open a full navigation menu to the right

      • Jen says:

The sidebar doesn’t lalways work on a handheld. It’s very buggy — I know they had mentioned that the main focus was to make it easier to navigate on handheld. It definitely does not do that. Also the actual player is not responsive on handheld devices.

I’ve given this site layout change a chance for months and I still don’t like it.  I understand it’s based on ‘trending’ news (or what gets read the most, keeping it at the top), but the tiles format is crap.  Even with it being built around mobile browsers and touch UI, it’s just plain clunky, slow and difficult to navigate.

That being said, I have absolutely NO suggestions as to how to change things away from the new format, except to revert to the old style of the site.  Which was WordPress.
