Nerdist Podcast: Jordan Peele (TWCH)

Earlier this year, Get Out showed movie fans the unexpected horror of taking a trip to meet the family of your significant other. But if you were to say, make your directorial debut with a film that made over $200 million around the world, then you may find yourself on AMC’s Talking with Chris Hardwick! Last Sunday night, comedian Jordan Peele was the guest of our founder, Chris Hardwick. In today’s special episode of the Nerdist podcast, we’re sharing the extended and uncensored conversation between Chris and Jordan.

Comedy fans have embraced Jordan for his starring and creative partnership with Keegan-Michael Key on the acclaimed Comedy Central series, Key & Peele. But now that the show has ended, Jordan has reinvented himself as a director, and he’s also hard at work on the upcoming HBO horror series, Lovecraft Country. In this episode, Jordan told Chris about watching the audience reactions to Get Out while it was in theaters, and he also shared his thoughts on the alternate endings.

Additionally, Jordan shared the story of how he came to be a puppetry major in college, before eventually turning his focus to comedy and improv. Jordan also got into a discussion with Chris about the merits of improv and sketch comedy, as well as the time he did improv with Burt Reynolds!

Make sure to watch Talking with Chris Hardwick Sunday nights at 11pm on AMC or on amc.com/talking! The extended audio will premiere as a podcast here every Friday after a new episode makes its AMC debut.
