  1. Chad says:

It could just be a problem on my end, but I’ve noticed since the change over that a lot of podcasts – but not all of them – have been having issues with repeating a section and/or cutting off before the end. It mainly happens with Nerdist (of the last five or six, I’ve only been able to hear Acker/Blacker all the way to the end), but occasionally with You Made It Weird also.

  2. Clay says:

Hey Chris, does the Lisbyn app have any issues with Chrome? I can hear the first 5 minutes of your intros and then it crashes on my work computer. Any recommendations? This is the third time it’s happened to me since you guys switched to this new layout.  ( ._.)

  3. DubipR says:

Oh yeah!  Lennon and Jessica!  I’m in heaven…
Two of my favorite Earwolf guests on the Nerdist!

    Womp It Up!

  4. No all-caps, no raging, but thank you for finishing your food before starting the podcast.  To some people, the sound of chewing, especially while talking, is difficult to listen to. I’m sure everyone has a sound that cuts straight into the center of their brain, be it the classic “nails on a chalkboard” or some other annoying sound.  Whatever it is for you, for us that sound is chewing, mushy, crunchy, whatever.  I don’t know why, I’m not a neuroscientist, it just is, and it’s not uncommon.  So we appreciate the courtesy of not recording the chewing on microphone so that we get it projected directly into our skulls through our earbuds.  I’m not entirely as appreciative when that courtesy is accompanied by the obligatory comments implying that everyone who dislikes chewing is an ALL CAPS RAGING FANATIC, and that the very concept of disliking that sound is somehow baffling and irrational.

  5. dick beaver says:

Mimic was about mutant cockroaches that MIMIC humans and made clicking sounds. The one in the museum is the relic with Penelope anne miller both we good movies

  6. What Happened to the Quemments? says:

We are now on a 12 podcast streak without Matt.

  7. BassBone says:

Superman didn’t make the Earth spin backwards. He flew so fast that he went back in time. The Earth rotating backwards was just a representation of him moving back in time.

    • Chris Hardwick says:

I just found this out! I’ve beenlyingto myselfallthese years!!!

      • TyrannosaurusJake says:

excessive speed would have actually had the opposite effect, the faster superman traveled, the slower time would appear to him.  By the time he stopped, thousands of years would have passed on earth, when only minutes would have passed for him.

  8. BassBone says:

All I can hear is Marissa Wompler and Lisler.

  9. Sarah says:

These two ladies are funny.  Everything that I have seen them in I have loved them in.  I hope that they are in more and more.  I just got two tickets to the live nerdist in San Diego just need to find someone to go with me

  10. Todd Mason says:

The end to end repeats of HOUSE, probably on Universal HD channel rather than USA, but close enough, are or at least were shot through with the Sarah McLachlan ASPCA ad. I’m usually not moved to funks even by sad tv, but watching that while trying to get over the flu was, shall we say, memorable. (Parham and St. Clair much prettier than Knowles, customized Spanks or otherwise. And so much more talented, to judge by their respective work so far. This also true of many, many other other performers ranging from Janelle Monae to Moon Bloodgood to pick two more at utter random, but Ms. Knowles does have some Fierce PR working for her.)

  11. Wildride says:

Mira Sorvino didn’t marry some rich guy, but she did marry Christopher Backus who has the same last name as Jim Backus who was the millionaire on Gilligan’s Island, so — Close! ;)

    • Wildride says:

Also, Jack O’Halloran is fine,  He was on How Did This Get Made’s Superman III Live episode not that long ago.

  12. Matt says:

Is anyone alse getting a malware alert page with Chrome when trying to play or download this?  I checked other podcasts on this site and it is not happening anywhere but this one.  This one gives a malicious alert for http://www.podtrac.com.  (For the record I am a programmer/web designer so I am aware of how things can be hijacked from local malware.  This does not seem to be that.)

    • Brock says:

I am, and was hoping for some guidance.

      • Dean says:

I had this problem. Just opening the link, instead of trying to save it, then pressing ctrl+s worked for me.

    • norusdog says:

yep Malware alert.  Nice.  Wonder if it’s part of our dismissive nature, a la Chris, that it’s happening.  Funny never had it with the old site.  But don’t tell them about it.

      • chris hardwick says:

As long as you’re not a dick, you can tell me whatever you want! I only reflect whatever energy is initially pointed at me. You want respectable answers, ask questions or make comments respectfully! It really is that easy. (I see you’re still having issues with the self-awareness thing.)

        • Dave says:

That was a pretty hip answer for someone your age.  Ha!  Is it a dick comment or is it a compliment?!  Nobody will ever know, EVAR!

          Muhahahaha!

    • Mike says:

      Got it w/Firefox also

    • Chris Hardwick says:

Hey all! It is, in fact, a podtrac issue. Our syndicator Libsyn runs links through podtrac so THANKFULLY this one wasn’t our fault. I’m told they were working on it as quickly as possible so it may actually already be fixed. Fingers crossed!
