This was a pretty excellent episode.

  2. jackie kashian says:

Sorry, should have responded to all… I’m at ACME this very week (with Bamford) and will be recording the new album in a MONTH #Minneapolis

Yay Kage Baker! HP rules (my new album will be called This Will Make and Excellent Horcrux) and I appreciate you giving The Dork Forest a shot!

  3. heh. yer never alone!! #rereading

  4. Jennifer says:

Great podcast. I might check out hers. Always up for new ones since I am finally up to date on Nerdist, my addiction.
When she started talking about how reading was her addiction I was like YES! Someone else that feels that way. I am totally addicted to reading. Especially rereading things. I feel like reading is my version of meditation since I can’t quite shut off my mind. It takes me to another world I can be apart of and disappear into when I need an escape. Rereading things brings me to that other world when I need the comfort. I still go back and reread the stuff I read in middle school and high school sometimes when I just need that really quick retreat. :) Glad to hear someone doing the same thing.

  5. LordOberon says:

I love Jackie and I love ACME. I can’t believe I missed out. I would have laughed and cheered no matter what!

  6. Nichole says:

Kage Baker is a great author!

  7. greyweed says:

    I love Jackie!
And then the Mexican hat dance starts playing in my head. XD

  8. dana says:

omg you guys struggling to list the order of the Harry Potter books was stressing me out!! Sorry, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. Glad you figured it out!

  9. Al says:

I get the same impression from Jackie as I did from Paul Scheer on the WTF podcast. Some people transform challenging life events into charm and humor. It’s a very pleasant form of being very tough.

  10. frankmint says:

Thank you, for introducing me to Jackie. This was one of the best episodes. I just subscribed to Dork Forest.

  11. MattSpears says:

    Great Podcast

Glad to Hear the sister wives were not sacked… Although, I’m also glad to hear you will continue to have slightly more difficulty getting together to podcast as @MIDNIGHT has been renewed!!! Congrats!!! As someone who consumes about 98% of the content you all put out, I say Great job and I wish you continued success!! Thanks Mr. Kudes and O’s to you.

  12. justsomejester says:

One of the most entertaining episodes. The chemistry between them is superb.

  13. Patty Marvel says:

@Stephen – *I LOVE YOU!* THANK YOU for telling me that!!! I felt a little bad about my previous post after hearing on this podcast how much JK hated the show, or rather what they made her do on the show, but dammit the end result is SO much better than people competing by eating bull testicles or some such thing.

AND I got all excited when Matt (or was it Chris?) talked about reading “Parable of the Sower,” because I thought they were referencing one of my all-time favorite authors:

Still have my signed copy tucked away nice and safe. R.I.P. Ms. Butler.

  14. Stephen says:

@Patty Marvel – You’re in luck. It was literally announced THIS WEEK that Last Comic Standing is coming back.

  15. Wildride says:

“Look, if you’re asking me about Parables, the next word out of your mouth had better be Stanley.”

  16. JP Uppercut says:

Passing this on to some folks at Double Fine due to the Middle Manager of Justice bit…

  17. Patty Marvel says:

OMG! I *LOVE* HER!!!!!! I became a fan of Jackie Kashian when I saw her on “Last Comic Standing” (I wish that show would come back – it’s the only reality show I ever got into).

SO looking forward to hearing this!!!!!!!

  18. Justin says:

Had the pleasure of saying hi to Jackie at the Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington, IN. What a super nice, hilarious lady!
