  4. Ya know, it’s totally illegal to even try to sell your Oscar unless you sign a waiver that says the Academy has the right to buy it back first β€” for $1.

    As for melting it down, Oscars are not pure gold but gold-plated brittanium: 93% tin, 5% antimony, and 2% copper. Probably not worth too much on the open market…

    Billy fucking Eichner. Discovered him through How Was Your Week? and have been a fan ever since. Billy on the Street is one of the funniest things ever produced.

    So of course, I had to Google Mo’Nique and found this: “Why wasn’t Mo’Nique at the [2011] Oscars?” http://content.usatoday.com/communities/entertainment/post/2011/02/why-wasnt-monique-at-the-oscars-/1#.T8AIjlKwXio AND that her show may not be on the air anymore. So…I found crap all that’s recent.
