  1. Marielle says:

So i’m late to the party and all…but Chris? Sing to us nerdly ladies in German more often. It’s…kinda hot. 😛

  2. mutantgirl says:

Just enjoying this podcast now. Regarding your “key element in why people become dickheads” theory, have you seen “Swimming With Sharks?” If not… load it up!

  3. gus strato says:

as a native indonesian hearing angela or a “bule”(its what my country call a foreigner) speak indonesian, really crack me up…:D

  4. Ed says:

Apa kabar, mas Chris? (‘What’s the news, older brother Chris?’)

I, for one, would really enjoy speaking Indonesian with Angela’s siblings — I think just listening to someone speaking Indonesian with such an incongruous accent would make me constantly crack up (and horrify my Indonesian friends).

Anyway, Bali will always have a special place in my heart and mind (did my field work there), but I must add some recommendations to places to visit in Indonesia. The Central Javanese court towns of Yogyakarta and Surakarta (known as Yogya and Solo, respectively). They each have a main and minor royal palace (administered by different royal families) – and the current Sultan of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana X, is also the governor of the Yogyakarta region. Each town offers its specialties in arts, music, and drama, and traditional cultural sites (Borobudur, Candi Prambanan).

Solo, in fact, is home to one of the most accomplished shadow puppeteers today, Ki Purbo Asmoro, who tours worldwide:

  5. LevelledUp says:

She seemed to have the kind of personality that could, with practice, become a good podcast host. Maybe Chris should try to encourage her to join his ever growing empire.

  6. JetpackBlues says:

Summon Wil Wheaton, we need to reinact the “Radio Free Burrito Encounter at Farpoint.”

  7. Guys, I feel like we’re not approaching this thing logically. If it’s a burrito, Occam’s Razor suggests that you should “eat your burrito”. There is a possibility, though, that the burrito is cleverer than that. It could be relying our tendency to choose the most obvious answer. In my experience the best way to outsmart a burrito is to think like a burrito. Burritos are generally vain, self centered, sociopathic Caucasians in their early to mid-twenties. They care a great deal about their size and appearance. Judging by the guacamole spatter on the wall behind the victim at the crime scene I’d say this burrito has a flour tortilla, is left handed, and is about fourteen inches in length, which, when paired with the six inch chipotle prints at the scene, gives our burrito a total volume of about 396 cubic inches. That’s one hefty burrito. No guesswork here folks. Follow the evidence and we’ll find the answer, guaranteed.

  8. Bo Dixen Pedersen says:

And to add to the Rob Brydon in The Trip knowledge.

The feature film is based on The Trip the series (6 half hour episodes) with a lot more content and it’s directed by Michael Winterbotton a quite well known english director.

  9. Atticus says:

    *not just be her

    I accidently a word

  10. Atticus says:

It’s nice to her Angela talk and just be her office character. This was such a funny episode. Bright moment of my week.

  11. Wildride says:

Now, don’t forget to tell your kids about the Easter Seal and the Easter Snake.

  12. Patty Marvel says:

For anyone who needs a crash course in “The Brady Bunch.”

    Patty “OW My Nose!” Marvel

  13. JeffTaylorSayWhat says:

Have you been to the Chicago IO? who did you see? Im a chicago improviser, so i love this inside improv baceball stuff. BTW next time your in chicago theres a great pool of comedy talent around that would be cool to here on the podcast.

    BTW PS Love the show(s)

  14. JetpackBlues says:

Close Encounters of the Burrito Kind.

  15. Eddy says:

I’m glad Chris decided not to spoil the podcasts he recently recorded mentioned in the intro. I’m still waiting for the Gabe Newell podcast which now looks like it will be released alongside Half-Life 3

  16. Chris Hardwick says:

@Evan: oh shit! uh….Enlarge it???? No, that’s not it. Conjoin it…to…a taco? FUCK. I do not enjoy this memory lapse–WAIT THAT’S IT–>

    Remember Your Burrito!!!

    No, wait….

  17. Curtis says:

@Evan If the content of this episode has taught us anything, it’s that you approach the burrito with fisting.

  18. Evan says:

Chris forgot to say ‘enjoy your burrito’… now I don’t know how to encounter my burrito…

  19. Drarry says:

Rob Brydon is the other guy in The Trip. He’s from Wales.

  20. MisiFaye says:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how Angela’s ‘southern accent’ creeps into her natural conversation just after 50 min mark, just after she was talking about her family member’s accents…… I KNOW THE FEELING.

  21. Gene says:

FYI, Dish Network has AMC again. And, the Hopper is awesome.

That’s all that I really have to say.

  22. McFeely says:

She’s hilarious and not like her character at all, can’t wait to listen.

  23. jgarfink says:

It’s nice to hear her as someone other than The Office’s Angela. She’s super funny!
