Dieverdog says: July 27, 2011 at 6:51 am The same thing happened to me (see Jordan’s quemment above) – I was listening to the poscast on my way in to work – and it was 8:44 when you said that on the podcast – I looked down at my watch and just about freaked! I hope you are right and something amazing (in a good way) will happen to me today! This is also my first quemment – so maybe that is the amazing thing? I love the podcast – just discovered it a couple months ago and am catching up on older podcasts (obviously) but enjoying all of them. The Will Wheaton one was my fave so far I think. And yes, I’m one of the female listeners – you have more than I bet you think you do! You guys totally ROCK for putting out such an awesome podcast so frequently. And don’t listen to anyone who tells you the audio sucks – every one I’ve listened to sounds just great to me. Keep ’em comin’. Jordan says: April 20, 2011 at 7:53 pm HOLY SHIT! I just found you guys and am listening to old podcasts while playing black ops. IT WAS 8:44 WHEN YOU SAID IT WAS 8:44! It took me a few min to get to my computer but I ran here immediately to post. Anyways, it was amazing and I was told to post so maybe something amazing will happen to me as was alluded to in the podcast. Mark T. Manning says: April 1, 2011 at 5:03 pm MATT v. JONAH FIGHT! MAKE OUT! MAKE OUT! MAKE OUT! MAKE OUT! luckymustard says: March 30, 2011 at 7:56 am not in her book “Somebody to Love? A Rock-and-Roll Memoir”. 🙁 Thom Friend says: March 28, 2011 at 3:54 pm I got all giddy when you mentioned MAN MAN. Have to look up the new band you mentioned, Mr. Heavenly, right? right KT says: March 28, 2011 at 2:29 pm Hey, guys! Just btdubs, @nerdistmelt totally sounds like the name for a grilled cheese sandwich. luckymustard says: March 25, 2011 at 8:34 am i can’t find the grace slick painting that you described on the internet (with a limited search), but found that it might be in her book “Somebody to Love? A Rock-and-Roll Memoir”. i’ve asked for it from my local library and can’t wait to see the painting. thanks for mentioning it! Hazmat says: March 25, 2011 at 7:17 am I live in Austin- there are lots of good places to eat- just get out of downtown! For the best BBQ, you will need to go to one of the smaller towns around Austin. Steve says: March 25, 2011 at 5:48 am 8:27 am. I was close. Russ says: March 24, 2011 at 4:08 pm Hello Chris, Jonah and Matt! Can’t wait for the launch of Nerdist Industries. Although I think you are missing the opportunity to call it The Nerdist Kingdom at Meltdown seeing as the headquarters is right above the D&D books and role playing games. You could call your interns “serfs,” so I would like offer myself as the first Serf for Nerdist Industries. Love the show and thanks for the laughs. Russ Patti says: March 23, 2011 at 1:51 pm I’m not sure if anyone has told you guys this, but as a science nerd I wanted to tell you guys smart phone screens (including the iphone) work when you have lab gloves on, like Dexter. I love the show, thanks for putting it out there for us! Patti barb says: March 23, 2011 at 11:55 am i recognize jonah when he is in skits from previous seasons of websoup and his laugh. but not living in la, i’ll probably never be able to recognize him in person. smartbunny says: March 22, 2011 at 10:43 am HELLO? She was not a mannequin all throughout time! She was different STATUES! And if she found love she got to stay HUMAN. Too bad she had all of time and ended up with that simp Andrew McCarthy. HOLLYWOOOOOOOOD! Robert says: March 22, 2011 at 8:32 am Speaking of people you should have on the show you really need to get Bill Bailey on your show. Beth Kaelin says: March 22, 2011 at 8:18 am I have officially fallen in love with the awesomeness that is the Nerdist podcast. It really does, as I’ve said before, make a horrible day bearable. Thank you Matt, Chris, and Jonah for that. Also, I love Noodle Stories! Every time it’s mentioned I giggle uncontrollably. Even if you do everything perfectly people will find something to complain about. I’ve learned to rise above it and enjoy my burrito while I can. On another note, I can’t wait for Web Soup! 😀 Thanks for another great podcast and I will be looking forward to more to come. Jerk says: March 22, 2011 at 7:52 am You were late. When you said it was 844 it was already a 846. I felt like you just did a crazy card trick but when you asked it the 9 of diamonds was my card, I had to say no because it was in fact they 10 of diamonds. Still, and as always I now want a burrito. Ross says: March 22, 2011 at 5:48 am Oh , and two other points: 1) You needn’t make up a new alternative to “Bless You”–“Gesundheit” works just fine as a non-religious response(the original expression was “Gesundheit ist besser als Krankheit”, which just means “Health is better than sickness”, i.e. “I wish you good health”); 2) If the Mannequin Curse changed her into period-appropriate forms, wouldn’t she have changed into a chastity belt in the Middle Ages? Ross says: March 22, 2011 at 5:18 am Speaking of “The Jew Who Didn’t Know How to Be One”, I highly recommend Omid Djalili’s movie “The Infidel”–very funny. Fauxnerd says: March 21, 2011 at 8:32 pm I don’t mind the extraneous noodle stories joke. The “low hanging fruit” butt fucking jokes about an pink anthropomorphic mountain lion voiced by Daws Butler kinda still makes me giggle. What get’s me is that the podcast is starting to sound like a tea party held in the back AV room in some abandoned high school. Secret lair perhaps? Fuck it don’t mind me, I’m just grumpy and probably need to stop working so much and get laid a little more often. Proceed to tell me to go fuck myself everyone. squigybits says: March 21, 2011 at 2:17 pm If I had one complaint about the podcast it would be the three of you complaining about the occasional humming that I cannot hear at all. Then again, I am just using my usual earbuds and I think if I got some better ones I may be able to hear it. Hmmmm I wonder where I could get better ones? lol Just busting your chops. Great podcast! I recommend it to all of my friends. For what that is worth. lol Les says: March 21, 2011 at 1:07 pm Hey guys, I started listening to you after Adam Carolla was a guest a couple months ago and really enjoyed the first few I listened to (notably Mayhem Miller, Sarah Silverman, Nathan Fillion). However I think the guest-less podcasts really need more structure to put them on par with your guest podcasts. Oftentimes you guys have pretty mundane conversations (OVER AND OVER with why Matt should do standup) which aren’t really entertaining. If you had pre-determined topics and games I think you would engage your listeners at a higher level. You’re all really funny dudes with interesting points of view which is why I think if you spent some time preparing for these you’d put out an even better product. Not complaining, just think you guys have much more potential! Laruen says: March 21, 2011 at 11:47 am I am making a large assumption since I didn’t see the Dexter episode but just FYI if Dexter answered the capacitance based phone wearing a latex or nitrile (basic laboratory glove) it would work. I am getting my PhD in molecule biology I answer the phone with lab gloves everyday. I love the podcast you guys have gotten me though many a long day. Kurtis says: March 21, 2011 at 11:09 am I like to think that miss mannequin changing back into her mannequin form is similar to if you get caught in a nano door like in the doom movie (i know there’s probably a better reference than this one). jcasey73 says: March 21, 2011 at 6:05 am Hey guys! Loving the hostful episodes so far! Your sayings sure are catching on with me, not unlike the comment from Tristan. “First world problem” is one I’m really starting to use that is liked by most people once I explain it, but “enjoy your burrito” is garnering some strange looks. =) Oh and ANY D&D reference cracks me up every time! I married my first DM. 😉 Keep up the good work, I love it!!! Tristan says: March 20, 2011 at 9:38 pm Love the podcast but we need to stop noodle stories, not because I don’t like it, I love it, but I have started saying it in my daily life and no one gets what reference I’m saying and I have started to lose friends. So please stop this for the good of my social life. James F says: March 20, 2011 at 8:56 pm I always keep a sheet of paper on my desk to jot notes on. Most end up becoming to-do lists. Recently, they have all concluded with a similar bullet. Here is an example: http://i.imgur.com/hXq9t.jpg Love the show guys. You help people more than you realize. Cheers, James acendedgman says: March 20, 2011 at 5:46 pm Okay guys I’m typing this with a glove on my hand and it is a capacitive non fruit based phone. Later Brilliam says: March 19, 2011 at 6:38 pm when you talked about it being 8:43 and you were also talking about daylight savings, I looked at my clock and it was 9:43. I guess that would’ve only been awesome had daylight savings been going the other way, but, hey, it was still a little creepy. THAT’S CREEPY RIGHT? <- it's a question <<– it's a comment smartbunny says: March 19, 2011 at 6:28 pm a) I don’t mind hearing about listeners like 24crayons.com girl. I like being led to new places. So there. b) Comedians will generally hang out with you after a show. They are lonely, lonely people. c) The two times when I met Mike Patton I was sad that he did not instantly propose to me. DOESN’T HE KNOW THAT I LOVE HIM? d) Was it Jonah who said to put the tattoo of Snagglepuss where “the guy fucking me can see it?” Because I lost my shit. Also I remembered a bit Jonah used to do about different phones (“Hello, 1955?”) and that made me lose my shit too. Leave my shit alone, JR. Shannon says: March 19, 2011 at 6:08 pm My birthday was Pi Day too. Happy Birthday Matt’s dad and Jonah’s mom. Josh says: March 19, 2011 at 5:45 pm When someone sneezes – Good luck with that. It is 8:44 Nyela says: March 19, 2011 at 3:47 pm Don’t apologize for mentioning things that are cool on the podcast, ever. I am referring to–of course–the girl behind 24crayons.com. I know how hard it is to live as an artist (I am one!) and make money, and her stuff is really cute! Just sayin’. Anyways, the show is awesome. Marc K. says: March 19, 2011 at 3:26 pm This is one of the podcasts that I look forward to every week. I must say that whenever you guys bring up going on a tour together (can’t remember if you actually did in this particular one) I picture the three of you guys in some kind of road trip/standup montage with Meat Loaf’s “Alive” playing in the background. Not sure why but this seems totally kickass to me. In case you guys haven’t heard it in awhile, here’s a link to the only video of it on Youtube! I thought it was appropriate since it was a Firefly fan video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gM2ZjVx9hsY Anyways, I enjoy how cool and sincere you guys are and how you connect with your fans. Thanks for creating excellent entertainment and for all the hard work you guys do. ComicGuy says: March 19, 2011 at 3:21 pm Hmmm…people I don’t know have said my made-up internet name in their Podcast. *Insert high-pitched girl-like squeal here* I believe etiquette requires me to love all of you now. I should write down your names so I remember them. That is all.
