Say what you want about Destiny, the game has garnered a dedicated fan base that has remained consistently engaged over the last ten and a half months that it’s been out. Amongst all of the growing pains that the game has seen over that time, nothing has rubbed me quite the way Activision and Bungie’s handling of Destiny: The Taken King has. I’m not the only one. Die hard Destiny fans around the globe have sounded off about their displeasure with the way the expansion has been handled, mainly because of the cash-grabby messaging that has brewed alongside it to no avail.
This week on Nerdist:Play, we’ll be taking a look at Destiny: The Taken King, and whether or not Activision and Bungie have been making the right decisions, from a messaging standpoint, with their core fan base. Are you a die hard fan of Destiny who plans on picking up the expansion? Or are you as riled up as most about the game’s approach to downloadable content? Tell us how you feel about the debacle in the comments below.
