Three of the most disheartening-yet-motivating words you’ll ever hear in a video game: “Lost the lead.” Does this ring a bell? If you’ve heard this phrase uttered by the announcer in any of the Halo games, chances are you’ve been filled with the urge to fight harder than ever before to avoid defeat. But any veteran to the Halo battlegrounds knows how tough combat can get, and in order to overcome adversity, being well equipped can be the deciding factor between being victorious or having an opposing player’s character crouching rapidly over your fragged, lifeless body.
On today’s episode of Nerdist: Play, I talk about some of the most deadly weaponry to ever grace the Halo battlefield to get everyone ready for The Master Chief Collection, which is out today on the Xbox One. But to kick things off, we take a look at some Oculus Rift players literally falling out over how awesome the VR headset is.
