We all have those video games and studios that we’d love to see make a return, especially the ones of which we grew fond of during our younger days. For me, EA Big played an integral role in my childhood in gaming, and I still find myself revisiting titles like NBA Street to give myself that warm, fuzzy feeling of nostalgia. The crazy thing about this is that most of EA Big’s games included elements that would hold up pretty well in this modern age of gaming. It’s a shame that the studio slowly fell into obscurity given the brilliant gameplay mechanics they implemented into their past works. But since there aren’t any Kickstarter projects in view any time soon (they’d be near impossible due to licensing), the only thing we can do now is sit back and reminisce.
This week on Nerdist: Play, we’ll be taking a look at my three favorite franchises from the gone-but-never-forgotten studio. Do you remember EA Big? If so, what are some of your favorite games from the studio? Alley-oop your thoughts off the backboard and into the comments below.
Nerdist Gaming is growing and you can find us all over the internet these days.
