Can you believe we’re in year three of this console generation? Time is a rude and impatient son of a b*tch! Typically in the third or fourth year of a console’s release, we start seeing remodeled versions hit the market. Word on the streets is that PlayStation has been considering indulging in such and releasing a 4K PlayStation 4 some time this year.
This week on Nerdist: Play, we’ll be talking about these rumors, whether they’re true, and what the ramifications could be if this new model sees the light of day. Some people feel this is a bit of a cash grab move from Sony and that 4K should’ve been a feature coming to the PS4 from onset—a justifiable demand, to say the least. With PSVR on the horizon, there’s no telling what could happen for the remainder of this console generation!
Will you pick up PS4K if it turns out to be real or do you feel it’s far too soon for Sony to be releasing a new PS4 model? Make your thoughts 4K crystal clear in the comments below.
