You know who’s been having a rough 2015 thus far? That would be the folks over at Konami. Outside of Hideo Kojima’s departure from working with the publisher, the company has found itself on the receiving end of a lot of negative press with the cancellation of Silent Hills, and its delisting from the New York Stock Exchange. But even with things looking grim for the original code bearers of the game world, you have to take into account that Konami has been around for a while, and their resilience certainly can’t be dismissed when gazing into the future.
This week on Nerdist: Play, we’ll be discussing the future of the veteran game company, and whether or not the recent happenings will bode well for them in the long run. Do you think the cancellation of Silent Hills is the end all for Konami? Is Hideo Kojima better off on his own? Be sure to leave your thoughts down in the comments below!
