Who’s ready to watch poor, pretty Nancy lose her mind in the latest Sin City: A Dame to Kill For clip? No? Well, then you’re not gonna dig what happens to Basin City’s most popular dancer in this latest clip.
Jessica Alba a reprises her role as exotic dancer Nancy from 2005’s Sin City and it looks like things have been kind of rough for her in the intervening years.
In the clip, it looks like Nancy’s having trouble getting over the death of Hartigan (Bruce Willis), the straight-laced cop who saved her from the child-murdering son of Senator Roark (Powers Boothe). Hartigan killed himself at the end of the “That Yellow Bastard” in order to keep Roark from exacting revenge for his dead son.
Yeah, that’s Willis looking over Nancy’s shoulder in the clip – he’s like a hallucination or something for the weary mind of Nancy who, it seems, still has a beef with the powerful and corrupt Roark.
Looking at Nancy’s revenge wall, I’m not entirely sure what “murderer too much time” under Roark’s photo means. Is she worried it would take too much time to kill him? That Hartigan did too much time in jail (after being framed for her sexual assault as a child years earlier)? Inquiring minds, etc.
The clip ends on a curious note, with nigh-unkillable tough guy Marv (Mickey Rourke) meeting Nancy at the bar. What happened to her face? And how bad is it going to be for the person who gave her those scars?
Stay crazy, Sin City.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be in theaters August 22 from Dimension. Crazy Nancy is forever.
