Like previous visuals for tracks off the same album, the video stars Dance Moms ingénue Maddie Ziegler dressed in her now-distinct uniform of flesh-colored unitard and bright blonde wig. Known for her dislike of the spotlight, the singer herself doesn’t appear to make an appearance in the clip — but we have a hunch that the set of hands with red-painted nails might just belong to the Australian pop star.
Choreographed by Ryan Heffington, who also designed the modern moves in videos for “Elastic Heart” and “Chandelier”, Ziegler’s ability to cavort AND emote is truly captivating, especially when you consider most of the action happens only from the waist up.
While the clip might only last three-and-a-half minutes, there are so many incredible moments that we can’t wait to play on-repeat. For example, this thumb-sucking version of “talk to the hand” is kinda brilliant.
If not, then we’ll just leave this here. Enjoy!
