The weekend is so close we can almost taste it here at Movie Morsels HQ. But before we sip its sweet, sweet nectar, let’s get through this Thursday with a bonanza of behind-the-scenes goodness in five featurettes from the new Ghostbusters. Plus, a new clip from Independence Day: Resurgence, a new TV spot for Jason Bourne, and a whole lot more!
Will the names Yates, Gilbert, Holtzmann, and Tolan one day rank alongside those of Venkman, Stantz, Spengler, and Zeddemore in the hallowed halls of cinema history? We’ll know when the new Ghostbusters opens on July 15. But in the meantime, Sony has kindly released four new featurettes, one on each of these neutrino-wand-wielding ladies, as well as a fifth featurette on their sweet ride: the beloved Ecto-1. Enjoy!
Independence Day: Resurgence
If you remember the original Independence Day, then chances are you recall two things: 1.) its spectacular destruction of national landmarks and 2.) its climactic battle against the aliens who hoped to destroy the entire Earth. But on July 29, both Damon and acclaimed director Paul Greengrass return to the superspy’s world with the aptly named Jason Bourne. Finally today… In the wake of the sad news of Muhammad Ali’s passing last week at the age of 74, Sony is rereleasing director Michael Mann’s acclaimed biopic Ali tomorrow, July 10. Since the film, which stars Will Smith as the legendary boxer, will play in only a few hundred theaters, moviegoers are strongly advised to check their local listings to see if it’s playing near them.
