Pride and Prejudice and Zombies comes out next month, and for some it might seem like the most bizarre genre mish-mash of all-time, but for others it feels like just the beginning of a world where any great piece of literature can become brain fodder for the walking dead.
Fortunately for us, the folks at Costume Discounters have put together some posters for other classic books they’d like to one day see get zombified, and I have to say, I think they’re on to something with them. I mean, they even have some killer taglines for them, too.
The timeless tale of Atticus Finch saving Maycomb County from the Ewell family… and an army of revived corpses.
I would not have been opposed to them also including a zombie mockingbird, but thank goodness this isn’t a zombie Tom Robinson.
Oompa, loompa, doom-pa-dee-deet; how many of these children have brains you can eat?
“You’re a zombie, Harry.” – Zombus Hagrid
Zombie Harry Potter facing off against the vicious werewolf Fenrir Greyback would definitely be a movie I’d be way too excited about.
Spoiler alert! After George helps out his friend, Lenny comes back to return the favor.
Um, wait, yeah, that actually sounds kind of amazing. Imagine zombie Lenny? He’d be like the Jason Vorhees of classic novels that have been turned into pulp zombie fiction. And imagine his zombie rabbits running around with him every where.
What other classic novels would you like to see get invaded by zombies? Write up your ideas in the comments below.
