Mission Log #74 – Episode 074 – Requiem for Methuselah

Kirk’s in love, which is nothing new. For an added twist, this week he’s in love with a robot. A robot built by someone who is seemingly immortal. Things get sticky, though, when we find out that he’s in love with his robot too. Also, everyone on the Enterprise is sick. They need medicine or they will die. This is not a requiem for them, though. This week, we’re putting “Requiem for Methuselah” in the Mission Log.

  1. Joe says:

This podcast was the main reason why I came to Nerdist for the past couple of years. All the other ones I liked have since ceased production. Plus I liked the commentary system here better than any where else.

  2. Nathan says:

I’m betting it is the sponsor that’s the issue. Carbonite is a huge sponsor of lots of podcasts on this network and a Transporter would make carbonite obsolete. Hmmmm…….seems like that would happen as well if the Star Wars and Star Trek universes crossed over. Why encase your bounties in carbonite when you can just store them in a transporter buffer?

  3. Old Doctor says:

You guys piss off Chris Hardwick or something?

I noticed that you got a new sponsor with the “Way to Eden” podcast, did that rub someone the wrong way?

I will go to your main web site, no problem, but I kinda got used to the podcast appearing here.

  4. Gordon says:

Looks like new episodes are now only being posted on http://www.missionlogpodcast.com – The Way to Eden and The Cloud Minders are both up on that site.

Love the podcasts guys, great work!!

  5. Jon says:

These are great, but I can’t wait until you start up on TNG!

  6. JE Smith says:

Why no new episode this week, guys? Desperately need my “Way to Eden.” :p

  7. amysrevenge says:

    Excellent work as always guys.

  8. Greggers says:

I actually HATE Requiem for Methuselah. Why? It’s actually anti-humanist.. MAJOR high points of human achievement were not achieved by humans, but by a single person who has the advantage of a decidedly non-human lifespan. Lame!
