Hello readers! We had a brief hiatus on our recaps of everyone’s favorite late night internet-based game show, @midnight, but we are back with yours truly, now taking up the mantle of you permanent recap artist. Now on to the show.
Monday gave us a two-for-one special as The Sklar Brothers, Randy and Jason, and Sara Schaefer took to the podiums to make us all laugh. Sara showed off her attempt at a Philly accent while berating the Phillies squirrel, and we were given bits of song lyrics Taylor Swift would write about her feud with Apple and iTunes. The trio gave us some interesting musical mash-ups for #HashtagWars topic of #LameSuperGroups, and spiced up the real-estate game with Realty Bites tag lines for interesting realtor headshots. They auditioned for the next sappy Lifetime-style movie to celebrate the premiere of Deadly Adoption, and finally check out the clip below as they pitch some poorly planned Minor League Baseball promotions.
Tuesday saw Ryan Pinkston, Ashley Tisdale, and Lauren Lapkus bringing the funny on a day most people were too busy saving Gotham for hours on end in the newest Batman game. To commemorate the game’s release, our panalists offered up their lamest Batman villain ideas, then they let it get sexy with their least subtle R&B song titles, like Ms. Tisdale’s “Whose Dick is This?” Their #HastagWars topic, #RegretfulSubjectLines paid homage to Google’s unsend e-mail function, and Ashley cleans up at guessing what weird things will happen in Locommercials by buzzing in before Chris even asks a question. To round out the night, panelists gave a short eulogy for a douche on a moose, and Chris celebrated the inclusion of bowling in the Olympics.
Half way through and we are not slowing down, because Wednesday’s episode had Cameron Esposito, Hampton Yount, and Todd Barry making funnies for points. Rapid Refresh gussied up Bobby Jindal’s presidential campaign announcement and made up new names for a pediatric immobilization unit. Wednesday’s #HashtagWars asked our panelists to give #3WordFashionAdvice to avoid more fashion based bodily damage. Check out some of their advice in the clip below. Meanwhile, Chris goes a bit too far with “…had me like” and we rounded out the night with our comedians giving reasons why we should watch their life-stream shows.
Finally, Thursday brought Kate Micucci, David Koechner, and Will Sasso who decided to step up to the plate and sock some dingers for our laughing pleasure. Rapid Refresh saw our panelists take a swing at naming Hilary Clinton’s Spotify playlist, as well as coming up with catch phrases for a creepy mascot. Check out the extended clip below. Their #HashtagWars for the night helps continue my sports related recap by asking the trio to let the NBA know they should #DraftMeBecause. Our comedians then took out their repressed aggression by bullying microscopic organisms before ending the night with their Walgreens manager announcements for a video of a very drunk man falling over.
WARNING: FOLLOWING CLIP IS UNCENSORED AND NSFW.
