Chris spit all over his podium, and everyone from contestants to porch dicks want an Apple Watch. Monday night started this week’s episodes of @midnight off with a bang, and we don’t want you to miss any of the best moments.
Mamrie Hart, Yassir Lester, and sister-wife Jonah Ray were the first set of contestants this week. They had fun with #SofterActionHeroes with puns that honored laundry, toilet humor, and movie theater mints. Really it was quite impressive. There were toys with issues, news straight out of Applebee’s (prayers included), and some presentation notes for Tim Cook and the Apple crew.
Tuesday was Marine Biology Day on @midnight. Seth Herzog, Nikki Glaser, and Mark Normand brought puns and knew exactly what Mario would find in Hell should he end up there. #5WordDealBreakers gave us all some serious insight into their dating styles and types. Clickbait came up because this is a show about the internet and what is more important than clickbait? And given how often I communicate with people via fridge note, this was just a must for inclusion.
Our fearless leader again took up the cause of female pleasure at the beginning of Wednesday night. It was filled with eating and cats and diagrams, and I laughed. The hilarious Emily Heller, Brendon Walsh and Randy Liedtke took to the podiums. They made a lot of movies healthy with #MakeAMovieHealthy as the Hashtag War, and there was lip reading. Yeah, lip reading.
It was a 2 Broke Girls night to finish up the week with Beth Behr, Whitney Cummings, and Jonathan Kite taking the podiums on Thursday night. #BudgetBooks reminded us why publishers have marketing departments and why books cost so much. (Well because they’re awesome but you know what I mean.) The group translated some drunk kids thanks to Vine. And we judged some dogs and their socioeconomic class.
