This week brought us a lot of laughs. Those of us on the East Coast who heard about the return of the polar vortex cried a little bit too, but it was mostly laughs. We also saw The Worst Thing on the Internet and the return of The Walking Dead, which was pretty freakin’ awesome. But most importantly, we – and hopefully you – had a lot of fun watching @midnight. Here’s what you missed if you were under a rock all week.
On Monday we (and guests Jo Koy, Jen Kirkman, and Matt Braunger) learned that animals are dicks and desserts can be ruined with a little word play. And New York Comic Con was last weekend, so there was some very important cosplay information for you as well:
Tuesday night, our pals Jonah Ray, Mamrie Hart, Justin Willman (who totally levitates) had an epic hashtag battle with literary hip hop titles. This writer also learned that you can ask Google Doc for a diagnosis and that Spotify allows for some very interesting playlists we never want to hear.
On Wednesday night, the First Lady danced with a root vegetable, and we discovered that people have really upsetting plans for Harry Styles’s vomit. There seems to be a product out there for everything – even rectal exams for The Human Torch and bears to press between your boobs! Please enjoy these infomercials. Kurt Braunohler, Thomas Dale, and Mary Lynn Rajskub did!
Scott Aukerman, Jon Daly, and Brett Gelman joined Chris on Thursday night to experience The Worst Thing On the Internet, #ruintechnology, sixth grade pictures, lame mobsters, and sexy sustainable bondage gear.
Even if you had the chance to watch all these great episodes in real time, you probably don’t need to be told but I’m going to tell you to follow @midnight on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr. Where else are you going to find all the behind scenes gems like this one from Mary Lynn Rajskub?
