Our fearless leader may be in the Big Apple this weekend for New York City Comic Con, but he had a full week on @midnight before he headed east, and we have the recap right here for you. Because it’s important that we tell you exactly which parts you should watch first!
Monday night brought together Alice Wetterlund, Dan Levy, and Baron Vaughn. We learned important things like the fact that Beyonce will not show up at your wisdom tooth extraction, cats will try to disguise themselves as dogs for meme fame even if it’s just by doing a little jig, celebrity baby names are especially difficult, and there a heck of a lot of directions you can go with a James Bond pun. Here’s a few:
On Tuesday, Maria Bamford, Eddie Pepitone, and James Adomian hit the podiums with hilarity. Harry Potter, angry cats, and #SpookyBroadway were all topics of conversation for the trio. Also, Tinder. DEAR LORD, THE TINDER!
On Wednesday, Cash Levy, TJ Miller, and Sara Schaefer celebrated the return of American Horror Story with a very special #CircusFreaks2014 hashtag war. There was a flying car, some very questionable Pinterest boards, and the return of Peter Hardwick!
The week ended with the hilarious Grace Helbig, Henry Zebrowski and one half of the sister-wives, Matt Mira. They celebrated cheese songs, Canadian healthcare, and subreddits with Buddy Christ. Also, super important message from this episode: hard G for life!
If you want to keep up with all the highlights on @midnight even on the weekends, make sure you’re following the show on Twitter (because #hashtags), Tumblr, Facebook, and Instagram. At least one of those will give you a daily wrap up of their favorite viewer hashtag creations. It’s a riddle, and we’re not telling!
