Here’s your run down of all you missed on @midnight this week!
Kevin Pollack, Tom Rhodes and Eddie Izzard took the stage on Monday night. Things discussed: ash-filled dildos and #EuropeanSuperheroes. Because obviously. Confession or Impression was also played which is one of my favorites. Drew Barrymore is delightful. And for a second, Kevin Pollack had to walk away. Personally, I’m pretty disappointed that we didn’t get more MyIdol. It was pretty much the only thing on the internet this weekend.
The Apple Watch is here, and it is the only thing anyone cares about. Stephen Tobolowsky, Alex Anfanger, and Lenny Jacobson had feels about the durability videos that have already appeared online. Wrestling is still a thing that is done which I didn’t know. #BroBroadway definitely had some shows that I could see myself buying tickets to see but no promises. The music would have to be really good.
Max Silvestri, Emily Heller and Eugene Mirman were on the show Wednesday night. Things I learned tonight: Don’t post on Facebook about your job and eggplants are equatable to penises. #SickBurnAHunk kept us talking about men on the internet. Emily got in a particularly wonderful Chris Hardwick one. Nothing needs to be gendered. That’s what I learned from Unnecessary Gendered Products. I also don’t think I ever want a bird after watching this episode. They are hardcore.
Thursday night started with flying lawnmowers and Carrie Underwood so you know the episode is going to be great. Nate Bargatze, Nikki Glaser and Steve Rannazzisi taunted professional boxers from the comfort of the stage and made Chris very nervous. #CountryMusicIn5Words kept us in Underwood’s wheelhouse and many points were given out. Then they discussed food, porn and Rip Torn. It happened. Get used to it.
